Weekend wrap-up
Thanks to my fabulous friends Troy and Heather, who so graciously took me in this weekend, I got my baby fix for a few months. They just had the cutest baby boy, Andrew, who, has a pretty great name, if I do say so myself. I had to (notice "had") take Andrew to St. Louis this weekend to meet his dad and we stayed at Troy and Heather's house in Louisville overnight to help ease the long drive. On the way there we met up with a realtor who showed us a new home we will be making an offer on tomorrow. Not as cute as the last one, but it's new, and Troy and my dad (both men..humm..where are the ladies in this?) had great ideas about how to make the best of the flat and monochromatic nature of the house. It's new and big, and if it works out, I'll be thrilled. This house hunt is exhausting! I'm ready to enroll Andrew in kindergarten and start decorating, but I need the house first! I got in at 3:30 AM last night, and had to be up at 5:45 to be at OB clinicals at 7! Can we say, "t.i.r.e.d.?" Whew, I am not 21 anymore! I managed though, thanks to my alarm clock, julie, who called and talked to me until I dragged my butt up and into the shower. I think I'm gonna love OB! Who wouldn't love going to work and seeing sweet new babies?? Didn't really feel like work, so that is a good sign. Anywho, my sweet baby is gone for the week. The half of me that like to sleep is glad for the break, but the other parts miss him already. It's hard to miss people. That's the worst part of being out of state from our family, for sure. But it does make seeing them much more special. Well, off to study for my OB lecture exam that is tomorrow. Wish me luck..gotta get straight A's!
